Art License Enquiry

Art Licensing is where you 'rent' artwork from an artist to use it on your products.

Licensing can be non-exclusive or exclusive and is for a set period of time.

A non-exclusive license is where you choose a design of mine to be printed onto your products.

This same design may also be licensed non-exclusively to other companies at the same time and will remain for sale on sites such as Spoonflower, where other people may purchase the design printed on fabric, wallpaper, and other products.

I will retain the copyright for the design.

No license is required to sell finished goods you have made with fabric featuring my designs purchased from Spoonflower.

For an exclusive license we will negotiate and agree on terms for the use of the design.

This license will be specific to your industry and territory. For example, if the license is for bolt fabric in the USA, I could still license the same design on bolt fabric in Europe (different territory), or for a different category (like wallpaper) in the USA.

I will retain the copyright and ownership of the design.

At the end of the agreed time period, you will have the first opportunity to renew the license. If you decide not to re-license, then the rights to the design revert back to me.
